The next Reading Apprenticeship Conference will re-center equity as the core purpose of education and our change efforts. We must reimagine our classrooms into equitable ecosystems and open our disciplines to all students. Participants will spend the first day exploring particular aspects of equitable practices and the second day synthesizing those practices within disciplinary groups.
Outcomes:
- Establish or deepen community of equity-minded, reflective practitioners
- Deepen practice and application of Reading Apprenticeship principles and practices (“making it real”)
- Surface equity in Reading Apprenticeship practices:Make transparent the codes and rules of power and literacy
